The 1756-RM2 is a ControlLogix redundant module. This module is mainly used to realize the redundant 

configuration of the system to ensure that the system can continue to run when the main module or communication link fails.

Redundancy features: The 1756-RM2 redundancy module has enhanced features with speeds up to 1000 Mbps. 

When paired with the 1756-L7x controller in both cases, it provides the best scanning performance. For cross loads, 

it uses redundant fiber ports with no single point of failure.

Communication capability: This redundant module supports up to seven enhanced ControlNet and EtherNet/IP
